It is time for another Korean K-beauty BB cream review. The BB cream that I will review today is the Skin79 Super Blemish BB Cream in the shade Dark.

Cost: $12-$15, depending on where you buy it.

Ingredients: Glycerin, Arbutin, Adenosine, Fructan, Moringa Seed Oil, Bertholletia Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Olive Fruit Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Ceramide, and several other ingredients. This BB cream has around 45 ingredients in it.

Fragrance: This BB cream does contain fragrance.

Shade Range: There are 6 shades. I have the darkest shade: Dark. The shade range:

1. Pink
2. Yellow
3. Natural
4. Light
5. Sand
6. Dark

This BB cream promises to brighten the skin, make it look clearer by covering imperfections, take away the dull appearance of the skin, be long-lasting and adhere nicely to the skin without darkening the skin or making it look oily.

How Does This BB Cream Look On The Skin?

Skin Type: I used to have normal skin. It is not oily nor dry, but my skin has recently changed to become oily.

Oiliness: As soon as I put this BB cream on, I noticed that it made me look quite oily. It is a heavy oil-based formula. So much so, that I also noticed that when I put it on underneath my eyes to try to cover up my dark circles, the oiliness of it made my eyeliner immediately start to smudge. So, this BB cream should not be applied close to the under-eye area. I also do not recommend this BB cream for people with oily skin.

Coverage: This BB cream does have good coverage. It has medium coverage, which is quite good for a BB cream. You can also layer this BB cream for more coverage over scars and imperfections, but I did not feel that I could achieve full coverage with this BB cream, even when I layered it. The coverage is good enough though to wear this BB cream alone on those days when you want to take a break from foundation.

Glow: This BB cream does look beautiful on the skin. This BB cream slightly lightens the skin, makes the skin look much smoother, and it does add a glow to the skin, so this is a good BB cream for those who want to lessen the appearance of dullness.

Packaging: I love the packaging of this BB cream. The packaging of this BB cream looks classy and has a unique pump, so the packaging is definitely a winner.

Staying Power: This BB cream stayed on all day. However, after a few hours, I looked even oilier than I did right after I applied it, so I recommend setting this BB cream with powder if you do wear it to reduce the oiliness.

Dark Circles: This BB cream did lessen the appearance of my dark circles.

Lines/Under Eye: This BB cream does settle into the lines underneath the eyes, the area directly underneath the puffy part of the eye/the eye bag area. However, this BB cream does really moisturize the under-eye area, which actually makes the lines there much less noticeable though. The moisturizing effect fills in the lines underneath the eyes and makes them less pronounced; I could barely see the lines in this area at all which is impressive.

One good thing about this BB cream is that it did not settle into the lines on any other part of my face, such as my smile lines.

Final Thoughts

Although this BB cream can get oily, I do think that it is still an excellent BB cream since it does make the skin appear smoother, brighter, less dull, and more beautiful in appearance. Also, unlike other Korean BB creams, this BB cream is much less white on the skin, while also still lightening the skin slightly. This BB cream actually blends in with your skin’s natural coloring much better than any other Korean BB cream I have tried so far. So, this BB cream is one of the best ones for those with darker skin.

I am not into making my skin look lighter, but I did definitely like how this BB cream looked on my skin; it really improved the appearance of my skin a lot.

Lastly, this BB cream also has many beneficial ingredients in it for skin, so when I weigh both the good and the bad qualities of this BB cream, I do definitely feel that the good outweighs the bad. Thus, I do recommend this BB cream.
