Beauty Blogger and Youtuber Skincare Secrets That Help Prevent Pimples, Rashes, Acne Breakouts, and Skincare Problems – My Daily Skincare Routine

Every beauty blogger or Youtuber has their own unique secret recipe for keeping their skin in check as much as possible. For some, it is all about their skincare regimen, while others focus on what they eat. As for me, my skincare regimen is all about what I put on my face and skin. So today, I will teach you all of the things that I do to myself to keep my skin as healthy, blemish, and pimple-free as possible.

Face Washing

To me, having healthy skin starts first and foremost with a good face washing routine. Skin that remains dirty will never be healthy, so I make sure that every single time that I go outside and come back in, I cleanse my face. Every time I apply makeup, even if I apply it a few times a day and do not leave home, I still wash my face afterward. Leaving any makeup on the skin can clog your pores. Makeup also contains dirt and debris from the wind blowing into your face while outside; this bacteria can be absorbed into your pores and colonies of bacteria can form and appear on the skin as pimples.

Our skin is porous, so anything can be absorbed into it, and when we are sleeping, our pores fully open up and absorb what is on them like a sponge. Activities like exercise and cleaning which cause us to sweat a lot, also open up our pores. While cleaning, dirt and dust also pop up onto the skin as you scrub, dust, and vacuum, so this dirt must also be washed away.

Any activity that leads to heightened sweating and mobility should follow with an extra face washing session because sweat contains acids, urea, ammonia, and toxins. If sweat stays on the skin, the bacteria and toxins that attach to it can cause a breakout. Thus, if you want healthy skin, you should cleanse it every time after going outside and coming back in, after applying makeup, and after doing any large amount of sweating.

The Cleanser You Use Matters

When it comes to bath soap, I always go organic and natural. I never use chemical-based soap products on my skin. The reason for this is because when I used to use normal bath soaps, I found that I would break out in rashes. These soaps made my skin look almost burnt. One of my ex-boyfriends was very sensitive to changes in my body, even more than I was, so he actually figured out that I have an allergic reaction to the chemicals in these bath soaps and shaving creams. Once I stopped using these products on my skin, my skin looked much better in a short period of time! So ever since, I make sure that I only use natural or organic bath soaps to bathe with and wash my face. Here is a great organic bath soap that I love that smells wonderful:

Add Astringents To Your Face Soap/Cleanser

When washing your whole body, you do not have to add an extra astringent to it since your body tends to be covered by clothing all day, which protects it. On the other hand, the face is constantly exposed to the elements, and it is unprotected, so when washing my face before bed, I make sure to use a strong astringent with my face soap to really deep clean any dirt, bacteria, and debris away before bed. I use a strong natural product to do this. This is the product that I use:

Natural Herbal Lotion: Travel Size Spray $14.99 12 oz Full Size 12 oz With Peptides

I add about a penny-size amount of the Natural Herbal Lotion to my face wash. I add a little water, and then I wash my face in circular motions with my hands for about 1-2 minutes each night before bed. This basically gives my face a little massage with the face wash and the Natural Herbal Lotion. The Natural Herbal Lotion is strong, so you need very little of it to clean your face, and it will last for months.

Do Daily Facials Or Face Scrubs

Every beauty blogger and Youtuber has a different routine, but this is one that I think we all have in common. Facials for me are daily or weekly, depending on the season, the condition of my skin, and how much I wear makeup. At the very least, I do a weekly facial. I make my own facials (DIY) based on what is happening to my skin. Most of the time in the summer, I do facials for acne since I get a lot of bug bites. Acne facials include strong astringents that will knock out acne and kill eggs laid on the skin by mosquitoes or other biting insects. My favorite facial for acne includes mixing a clay face mask with the Natural Herbal Lotion.

When it comes to face scrubs, I do these more frequently than I do facials, since I will use a face scrub or toner daily. The reason I do this every day is because I find that every time after washing my face, there is still some dirt remaining on my skin. This does not mean that my astringent and soap did not work; it simply means that my soap and astringent killed a lot of bacteria, but the dead bacteria still remains on my top layer of skin. When this happens, I will need to scrub them off using toner or a face scrub. It is like how you can spray and kill an insect with Raid or bug spray, but the bug is still there where it died and it will rot. So although the bug can not bit you now and it is dead, its decaying body is still harmful to you because it is getting into your air. Thus, you must still remove dead bugs or bacteria for your own health. This is basically what a face scrub or toner does for you.

Using a face scrub or toner rubs off the dead bacteria that is on your skin that can cause it to age faster and look dull. Every day before applying makeup, I clean my skin with toner and the Natural Herbal Lotion. Then when I wash my makeup off for the day, I use a face scrub. You can easily buy inexpensive face scrubs on Amazon.

Add Skincare Products To Your Skin Before Bed

Before going to sleep, I always prep my skin. Usually, I will apply the Natural Herbal Lotion to my skin first, and then I will apply a skincare product like the Rose Beautifying Cream on top of it. Sometimes, I only apply a gentle moisturizing face mask that is safe to sleep in if my skin is clear without any blemishes. On these days, my skin just needs some extra moisture because my skincare treatments can dry it out.

Avoid Getting Mosquito and Bug Bites On The Face

During the summer, we have to worry about all kinds of bug bites because bugs come into our homes. There are ants and house spiders that come alive and move around your home in the summer, as well as other bugs that get in when the door opens, such as mosquitoes and gnats. Since our faces are the first thing that people see, and it is always out and exposed, it is important to avoid getting bug bites on your face. Any bug bite has the potential to scar, and it takes months, sometimes years to get rid of scars, so make sure that you always apply an insect repellent to your face every day in the summer before going outside.

I always spray the Natural Herbal Lotion over my face, neck, and forearms before going outside to keep bugs away from my exposed skin.

Have Clean Air Inside Your Home

In Korea, hospitals and people’s bedrooms almost always have an air purifier or humidifier going all the time. They do this to help their skin stay in good condition and moisturized. I do not use a humidifier, since where I live is not humid, but I do use an air purifier at all times. I have an air purifier going all day long on every floor of my home. The reason I do this is that dirty air will cling to things like your face and hair. Your face contains little baby hairs that attract dirt, so it is important to have clean air for your overall health and the health of your skin.

Conclusion

Having good skin does not mean that you have to spend an hour a day on your skin, or adopt a complicated skincare regimen. Sometimes, having good skin is about having good daily habits, and using a few simple products in various ways. My skincare regimen does not require a lot of products, it is not expensive to maintain, and it is fairly simple, easy, and fast to implement. If you have not found a skincare regimen that works for you, I highly recommend giving mine a try!
