Today I will review a very popular brand that was known for being more high-end a few years ago. Since then, the price has come down and it is not much pricier than most drugstore products. These days, you can get Chi hair products at reasonable prices, especially on Amazon.
I have used Chi hair products for years, and I swore by them when I was in my 20s, especially since they worked excellently on my permed relaxed hair at that time. I no longer perm my hair though, so it will be interesting to see how Chi hair products hold up on my naturally curly unruly locks. That being said, I went on the Chi website and picked a few products to look for on Amazon. I purchased a few of them there, so the first Chi hair product that I will review for you all today will be the Chi Keratin Mist Spray.
Cost: $10 – $15 each, depending on where you buy it.
Packaging: This hair product comes in a spray spout applicator bottle.
Ingredients: This hair product contains many natural ingredients that are great for hair including keratin, silk, Symphytum officinale leaf extract, anthemis nobilis flower extract, peppermint leaf extract, lavender extract, silica, and clary extract. This product is also paraben-free.

Smell: This hair product does contain fragrance. It has a strong perfume scent.
Applying The Chi Keratin Mist To My Hair
I applied this hair product after washing my hair. I detangled my hair and then separated it into four sections, two on each side of my head. Then I added about a nail size amount of this hair product to each individual section of hair. I combed it through each section and braided them. I blow-dried my hair for about 10-15 minutes to get it about 90% dry, and then I left my hair to air dry the rest of the way in the four braids while I slept. When I woke up, I took my hair down to see the results.
How The Chi Keratin Mist Looked On My Hair
Results
My hair was completely dry by the time I took it down, and the curls were soft, beautiful, and defined. My hair also had bounce and body. The look created by this hair product was that of a Jheri curl. I absolutely love it! When I went outside after styling my hair with this product, I got compliments from people in the store, so this hair product really does make the hair look beautiful and it really does make it stand out.
There are two downsides to this hair product, however. The first is that it is on the heavy side, so it did cause my hair to look thinner and less thick, compared to how it normally looks. So this hair product may not be to your liking if you already have thin hair and are worried about it being weighed down by the product.
The second downside to this hair product is that I did need more of it than other products I have used on my hair in order for my hair to feel wet enough with it, so I do feel that it will run out quickly. This does make this hair product a bit more expensive and not very cost-effective.
Final Thoughts
I still do like the Chi hair products very much, and they still work excellently for my hair. This Keratin Mist is great and I definitely will continue to buy it. My hair looked so beautiful, vibrant, and healthy with it. This hair product is a great product to have on hand for those special occasions when you want to look like you just walked out of a salon, such as when going on a date, when having a night out, or during a holiday.
This Chi Keratin Mist seems most suited for people with thick, curly, unruly, kinky, damaged, or frizzy hair. Chi hair products are of great quality, and I do definitely recommend them. I also feel that they are worth the money. I plan on buying more of their newer products to try out next year, so I will do many more Chi hair product reviews in the coming months.
