Happy Halloween everyone! For the holiday, I thought it would be fun to do a Halloween themed nail art tutorial. So, I will be using these water nail decal stickers for the nail art I will be creating for you all today:
This is what the final look will be:
Step-By-Step Nail Tutorial
I will be using three of the Halloween nail decals from the sheet. To begin, I will first apply a base coat to my nails. Next, I will cut all of the nail decals that I will be using off of the paper sheet. There are five nail decal stickers on this sheet, so I will just cut them all off of the sheet. These are the nail decal stickers that I chose for this nail tutorial:
After cutting the nail decals, I shaped each one individually with the scissors, one at a time, so that they would fit onto my nails and have the same curved, round shape as my nails.
Once I finished shaping the nail decals, I removed the clear plastic covering from them, and then I put the nail decal in water for about three seconds. Then, I slowly dragged the image off of the white paper backing and applied the nail decal to my nail. It is really important to do one nail at a time so that you do not mess up the nail design. You can see everything that I did in this step here in this video:
Now that the nail decals are on my nails, it is time to clean up the edges of my nails using a nail file. The nail file will cleanly remove the part of the nail decal that is still longer than my actual nail. This makes it so that the nail decal fits to my nails without hanging off of the nails on the sides or going past the end of the nail.
Now that the nail decals are on and look the way that I want them to, it is time to apply a top coat. I applied one of my favorite top coats, which is the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I have tried a lot of top coats, but most of them do not work well because my nail polish will usually have dents or scratches in it by the next day with almost every other top coat that I have ever tried. However, the Seche top coats are really good, so I highly recommend them if you have not found a top coat that works for you.
You can see how I did the step above in this video:
Finally, the very last step is to apply pink nail polish to two nails on each hand to match the nail decal designs I chose. I went for pink nail polish because I wanted to go for a softer look, rather than a scary look. The nail polish I chose for this tutorial is the Rimmel 10 Day Wear Mineral Nail Polish with Lycra in the color Baby Pink.
I applied my Seche Vite Top Coat on top of this baby pink nail polish to seal in the color and to extend how long the nail polish lasts before it starts chipping and wearing down.
Now, we are all done! 🎃
What do you think? Do you like this nail art design? 💅
