Purple eyeshadows are one of my favorite eyeshadow colors to wear. Purples really help enhance certain eye and skin colors. Purples are vibrant, colorful, and perfect for summer as well. The purple eyeshadows I will be reviewing today are mineral eyeshadows by the brand Addictive Cosmetics.
The Addictive Cosmetics eyeshadows are: Vegan, cruelty-free, natural, handmade, noncomedogenic, gluten-free, soy-free, hypoallergenic, and made without harsh chemicals, synthetic dyes, preservatives, fragrances, parabens, or fillers. The Addictive Cosmetics eyeshadows are also made with shea butter, vitamin E, coconut oil, and castor oil.
I will be reviewing five of the Addictive Cosmetics loose eyeshadows today: two glitters to use as eyeshadow toppers and three glittery eyeshadow shades.
Addictive Cosmetics Vino Eyeshadow
This shade is a dark plum purple shade with lots of sparkle and brown tones in it. Vino is a color that will compliment tan darker skin tones nicely. The swatch of this shade above shows this eyeshadow without eye primer. The photo below shows how this eyeshadow looks on the eye with eye primer.
One thing to note about this shade is that it looks very different in color when used with eye primer. Without eye primer, this color is a deep plum purple color. But with eye primer, this color changes to a more brown silvery gray shade. So, depending on the color you want, you can choose to wear this eyeshadow with or without eye primer.
Addictive Cosmetics Shameless Eyeshadow
This eyeshadow is a lighter purple color with strong heavy red tones with blue and white glitter flecks throughout it. Normally, red eyeshadows do not look good on me, but this shade has enough purple in it that it still looks nice on me. Here is how this eyeshadow looks on my eyes.
Addictive Cosmetics Ursula Eyeshadow
This eyeshadow looks very different in the container compared to on the skin. In the packaging, this shade looks very dark. On the skin, this eyeshadow looks much lighter. This eyeshadow has brown tones with blue glitter flecks throughout it.
The swatch above shows this eyeshadow without eye primer. The photo below shows how this shade looks on the eyes with eye primer.
Addictive Cosmetics Text Me Purple Glitter
This shade is a lighter plum purple shade. This color is pure glitter, so you will need to use this as an eyeshadow topper, rather than wear it alone as an eyeshadow. I applied this shade on top of a dark matte purple eyeshadow with eye primer. Here is how this shade looks on the eyes on top of eyeshadow.
Addictive Cosmetics Wicked Purple Glitter
This shade also looks very different in the packaging compared to how it looks on the skin. This shade is a medium dark purple shade with hints of pink. Like the shade Text Me, this shade is also pure glitter, so it should be used as an eyeshadow topper, rather than worn alone as an eyeshadow. I applied this shade on top of a dark matte purple eyeshadow with eye primer. Here is how this purple glitter looks on the eyes on top of eyeshadow.
Final thoughts: I love the Addictive Cosmetics eyeshadows and glitters! The two eyeshadows were easy to remove with oil. The two eyeshadow glitter toppers felt rougher on the skin though when I went to remove them with oil, compared to the other eyeshadows. I think this is normal though for glitter.
I am also very pleased with the healthier, more natural, mineral-based formula for these eyeshadows and glitters. I like the price point and the pigmentation of the Addictive Cosmetics eyeshadows and glitters as well. So, all in all, I am very happy with the Addictive Cosmetics makeup products and I feel that they are good quality. Thus, I do recommend the Addictive Cosmetics makeup products.
