Hello everyone! It is time for another makeup tutorial! Today I will show you step-by-step how I created the makeup look above. As you can see, this makeup look is great in different lightings, and although it is more glam and dramatic, it also adds a softness to the eyes that makes it great for dates or at work. So without further ado, let’s begin!
Step 1: Prime the eyes with an eye primer or an eyeliner sealer. Both will make eye makeup last longer and enhance the color.
Step 2: Apply a neutralizer first to the under-eye area to reduce discoloration underneath the eye. Then apply a concealer afterward for darkness. I used the Korean brand Etude House‘s Big Cover Concealer Kit, which comes with a red neutralizing shade, and two beige concealers. I reviewed this Etude House Concealer Kit here on this website. I absolutely love it, and I have almost hit pan on it already. So I do recommend the Etude House neutralizing concealers.
Step 3: Apply eyeshadow. For this look, I used the vegan kosher cruelty-free EmbyBoutique Eyeshadow Palette that I was sent by the brand to try out. I only used one eyeshadow in this palette for this look, so it is an easy look to recreate. I used the second eyeshadow on the third row, the pink shade with orange undertones. I applied this eyeshadow on my upper lid, and at the inner corner.
Step 4: Line the upper and lower lash line with a black liner. The line on both the upper and lower lash line should be thin going towards the inner corner, and thicker going from the middle to the end of the eye. The line on the lower lash line should be thinner than the line on the upper lash line.
The eyeliner that I used for this makeup look is the Korean brand Tonymoly‘s Back Gel Eyeliner in the shade Black.
Step 5: Smudge out the line that you created using black eyeshadow. Smudge out the line all around the eye so that it forms a triangle shape at the end of the eye.
Step 6:Darken the liner that you smudged out by patting on more black eyeshadow with a sponge makeup brush. If your eyeshadow is still not dark enough, then you can add more black gel liner to get the kind of pigmentation that you want.
Step 7: Draw/Fill in your eyebrows. I drew in my eyebrows with an herbal black kajal eyeliner. I went for a strong but not too defined eyebrow look to match the glam of my eye makeup here. If you are interested in these kajal eyeliners, I sell them here on this website.
Step 8: Apply mascara to the upper lash line. As always, I used a Palladio Mascara. This time I used the Palladio Botanical Vitamin-Infused 4D Boost Volumizing Mascara.
Step 9: Apply mascara to the lower lash line to enhance the look further and make it more glamorous.
Step 10: Apply false eyelashes to the upper lash line.
Step 11: Make the false eyelashes blend in with your liner and your natural eyelashes by drawing over the band of the false eyelashes with a black liquid liner.
