Today, I will review another Indian herbal kajal liner for you all. The kajal eyeliner that I will be reviewing today is from one of the most well-known Indian kajal makeup brands: Blue Heaven. The kajal eyeliners that I use the most are the Blue Heaven eyeliners, so today, I will fully demonstrate this kajal eyeliner for you.

1. This eyeliner is herbal – It is made with herbs to help nourish the eyes and lashes.

2. This eyeliner is made with a small ingredient list of 13 ingredients; it is made with natural vegetable colors and ingredients, including:

B. Almond Oil
C. Castor Oil
D. Camphor
E. Clarified Butter
F. Vitamin E

3. This eyeliner claims to be smudge-proof.
4. This eyeliner claims to be waterproof.

One of the reasons that I really like this kajal eyeliner is because it is really dark, even on brown and tan skin. You do need to layer it two or three times to get the color as dark as it is in this swatch; even with one swipe, this kajal is still quite dark.

I also love the ingredient list for this kajal eyeliner as well. I think the ingredients in this eyeliner will help protect the eyes from air pollution and contaminants that can irritate them.

Is The Blue Heaven Kajal Eyeliner Smudge-proof?

No, the Blue Heaven Kajal Eyeliner is not smudge-proof. Almost every brand that sells eyeliners claims that their liners are smudge-proof, but they usually are not. Too many factors can cause smudging, such as oily lids and oxygen breaking down the makeup’s formula, so smudging can be expected with almost every eyeliner on the market. Is The Blue Heaven Kajal Eyeliner Waterproof?

No, the Blue Heaven Kajal Eyeliner is not waterproof. When I wet the line that I created with this liner and ran my finger over it, it smudged. I tested it again later after waiting for the water to completely dry again, and it smudged once again.

I applied this kajal eyeliner to both of my eyes on top of a water-based eye primer. On the left eye, I applied the eyeliner directly on top of my eye without any eyeshadow. This is how this kajal eyeliner looks:

This kajal liner came out much darker and applied more smoothly and easily directly on top of the eye, compared to when eyeshadow was applied first and the kajal eyeliner was drawn on top of it.

On the right eye, I applied this kajal eyeliner on top of the eyeshadow. When applied on top of eyeshadow, the kajal liner did not come out quite as dark. I also had to layer this kajal liner more to get it darker. Here is how this kajal eyeliner looks on top of eyeshadow:

I love how both the left (without eyeshadow) and the right (with eyeshadow) sides came out with this kajal eyeliner applied on them. The color of this Blue Heaven Kajal Liner is such a nice rich dark black color, which really enhances my eyes, my makeup, and my whole face. I am also happy about the healthy ingredients that this kajal liner contains and its low price point, so I am pleased with this eyeliner.

One of the major benefits of kajal eyeliners is that they are very pigmented and very dark, so they will suit a variety of skin tones nicely. However, if you are new to using eyeliner, kajal liners may take some practice to get used to because you will need to practice drawing smooth lines with them and to smudge-proof your liner. Despite this though, I do highly recommend kajal eyeliners because of the healthier formula and the dark pigmentation. Kajal eyeliners also last much longer than traditional store eyeliner pencils. One kajal eyeliner can last me 6 months to a year, so given the low cost and how long they last, I think they are very much worth it and I highly recommend them.
