Today I will be reviewing an herbal natural kajal eyeliner by the brand Lotus. This is the Lotus Black Kajal Eyeliner.
Cost: Kajal eyeliners cost between $5-$6 apiece.
Ingredients: This kajal eyeliner is natural. It is made with botanical extracts, licorice, camphor, and almond oil.
Packaging: The packaging for this kajal eyeliner is not very good. I do like its twist-up top, but the writing on the kajal faded off and part of the packaging broke off, so the packaging is not very sturdy or durable.
Smudge-proof: This kajal eyeliner is not smudge-proof so you will need to smudge-proof it and set it. This kajal smudges really fast after applying it, so you will need to set it immediately as soon as you draw your liner on each eye.
Waterproof: This kajal eyeliner will stay in place if it gets wet and the dark color will remain exactly as it is, but once you touch it after it dries, it will smudge. However, the color will not fade and it will not smudge more than it normally would, so water does not really affect this kajal’s performance.
Application: This kajal eyeliner glided across the eye without tugging, but it did transfer to my upper lid. This kajal also moves around more than some kajal eyeliners I have tried, so it was more difficult to apply and it took more time. This kajal does go on top of eyeshadow just fine though.
How The Lotus Kajal Eyeliner Looks On The Eyes
Color: This kajal eyeliner is a very dark black color and it looks very beautiful on the eyes.
Removal: This kajal eyeliner removes easily with oil.
Final Thoughts
This kajal eyeliner looks nice on the eyes and it also photographs well. This kajal also has a good natural herbal ingredient list, but because this kajal tends to move around a lot, I do not reach for it as much as other kajals. I think it would also be hard for beginners to use and it takes more time to apply than most kajals, so I do not recommend this kajal for beginners, or for those who do not want to spend too much time on their makeup.
