I attended my second Harajuku Fashion Walk recently, so I wanted to share it with you all. If you are not familiar with Harajuku Fashion, it includes a variety of fashion styles: Multi-colored hair, goth, punk, rock, kawaii (cute girl), lolita (European and Victorian-style clothing), gyaru (tan dark skin and wild sexy clothing and makeup), Japanese traditional clothing mixed with Western clothing (traditional Japanese clothing, such as a kimono and yukata, paired with Western clothing like jeans and heels), cosplay (dressing as anime characters), and Visual Kei styles. If you want to learn about the history and spread of Harajuku Fashion, I wrote a blog post article about it here: Harajuku Fashion From Japan That Has Spread To The U.S. and Canada – Lolita, Visual Kei, Kawaii, Gyaru, Cosplay Fashion.
There were four main fashion styles present at this Harajuku Fashion Walk
Lolita Fashion
Kawaii Fashion
Modern Japanese Style Dress Fashion
Goth/Gothic Fashion
