Having Trouble Losing Weight? Maybe You Have Intestinal Worms In Your Stomach From Your Food Causing Weight Gain

This might be very shocking to you all, but we live in a world full of parasites. These parasites survive better than almost every other creature that exists. They cause all kinds of problems for living creatures, including weight gain, rashes, acne, skin diseases, stomach problems, sickness, and much more. The kinds of problems they cause often depend on where they live in or on your body. When parasites live in your stomach and intestines, they are called intestinal worms; these parasites can make you gain weight, or be unable to lose weight.

“Intestinal worms, also known as parasitic worms, are one of the main types of intestinal parasites. Common types of intestinal worms include Flatworms, which include tapeworms and flukes. Roundworms, which cause ascariasis, pinworm, and hookworm infections (Sampson, S. (2022, March 3). What Are Intestinal Worms? Healthline). ”

Parasites have survived the ice age. Parasites can survive temperatures that humans, animals, and even many insects can not. Some worms thrive in extremely cold temperatures, and even live in ice glaciers. Other worms can go into a dormant, sleep-like state for long periods of time, even thousands of years, if the temperature or the environment they are in is not one that they can thrive in successfully.

“A pair of nematodes – roundworms – are apparently alive after they were frozen in permafrost for nearly 42,000 years…One of the worms was found near the Alazeya River in 2015 and is believed to be about 41,700 years old, according to the study published in the Doklady Biological Sciences. They were found about 11.5 feet underground” (Schallhorn, K. (2018, July 27). Russian worms frozen for nearly 42,000 years alive and well, scientists say. Fox News.

Unfortunately, because parasites and worms need human, animal, and insect hosts (a host is what they eat; we are their food) to survive, they attach to us every chance they get. Thus, everyone has some parasites and worms living in or on their body. Some people who are more into health and detox regularly, will likely have fewer parasites than other people. However, some parasites are more resistant, and will require more effort to get rid of them. So, where do we pick up parasites? How do we get them?

How Do We Get Intestinal Worms?

We Get Parasites From Water

A lot of the water on Earth is contaminated and polluted because of trash being dumped into it. People also urinate in it, and feces gets into it. In many countries, people also bathe in the water, which will leave their dead skin cells, bacteria, and germs in the water. Animals also use the water, which means they may be leaving blood, feces, mites, and bugs in it. All of these factors have led to a lot of water being unclean on the earth. Drinking from unclean water sources such as tap water, water fountains, rainwater, pool water, rivers, and lakes can lead to waterborne illnesses. Thus, you should never drink from these water sources. You should only drink water that has been purified and cleaned, such as bottled water.

“Rainwater is not as pure as you might think, so you can’t assume it’s safe to drink. Rain can wash different types of contaminants into the water you collect (for example, bird poop on your roof could end up in your water barrel or tank). Rainwater can carry bacteria, parasites, viruses, and chemicals that could make you sick, and it has been linked to disease outbreaks” ((2021, March 16). Drinking Water – Rainwater Collection. CDC).

Parasites Come From Eating Raw or Undercooked Meat

Even meat that seems fully cooked can have tapeworms in it because the worms were already in the meat to begin with. This means that these worms can be cooked into the food. So, if you find something chewy and hard in your chicken that feels different from the rest of the meat, never eat it. The reason is because parasitic worms can go into a dormant state due to exposure to intense heat. Once these parasites enter a new environment, the environment inside your body, they can come to life inside of you and start feeding on you.

Wild animals are loaded with parasites, so when we eat meat, we are also eating these parasites when the meat is raw or undercooked. Therefore, any meat that you eat must always be thoroughly cooked. Properly cooked meat should be well-done to the point of falling off the bone.

“Taeniasis in humans is a parasitic infection caused by the tapeworm species Taenia saginata (beef tapeworm), Taenia solium (pork tapeworm), and Taenia asiatica (Asian tapeworm). Humans can become infected with these tapeworms by eating raw or undercooked beef (T. saginata) or pork (T. solium and T. asiatica)” –  Source: (Parasites – Taeniasis. CDC).

Parasites Come From Eating Raw Sushi Or Fish

I love Asian food, especially Japanese, Korean, and Thai food. So, I do eat sushi, but the only sushi that I eat is cooked, such as crab, shrimp, salmon and eel skin. I will also eat vegetarian sushi, such as tempura and tamago/egg.

Crabs always have to be cooked because they contain very dangerous parasites like sacculina that can do major bodily harm. These days, I rarely eat seafood because of the radiation that it contains, but if or when I do choose to eat sushi, I make sure that it is never raw.

“The case of a previously healthy 32-year-old man from Lisbon, Portugal, is featured in the medical journal BMJ Case Reports this week. The man was suffering from a bout of stomach pain for more than a week, and experienced vomiting and a fever. When doctors questioned him about his symptoms and history, he revealed that he had recently eaten sushi. Doctors performed an endoscopy – a scope test that uses a tiny camera on the end of a long, flexible tube to view the upper digestive system – and discovered he had parasite larvae attached to the lining of his stomach wall. The culprit: Anisakiasis, a disease caused by parasitic worms. It is caused by the consumption of contaminated raw or undercooked fish or seafood…” (Marcus, M. (2017, May 12). Sushi parasite that embeds in the stomach is on the rise, doctors warn. CBS News.)

Conclusion

All of the information in this article may seem scary, but knowing this information will help you on your weight loss journey. Losing weight is about more than just eating vegetables and exercising. Losing weight is also about detoxing and cleaning out your body because doing this will help you to expel these parasitic worms that are contributing to you being overweight or being unable to lose weight. Thus, losing weight, or no longer continuing to gain unwanted weight, also means avoiding raw or undercooked meats, fish, and seafood, as well as exercising regularly and having a better, healthier diet and lifestyle.
