Hello everyone! It is time for another product review. The product I will review today is the: CoverGirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Liquid Foundation in the shade 760 Classic Tan.

Cost: Around $10, depending on where you buy it.
Cruelty-Free: Yes, CoverGirl is cruelty-free; they do not test on animals 🐰.

Brand Promises: CoverGirl promises that this foundation will: Hydrate your skin, make your skin look flawless, it has buildable coverage, it is lightweight, it is oil-free, it minimizes oiliness and shine, it will glide on smoothly, and it will give your skin a healthy luminous glow.

Shade Range: This foundation has 14 shades. About four of the 14 shades are for darker, more tan women like me. The shade that I have is the shade 760 Classic Tan, which is the second darkest shade.

I am a little disappointed by the shade range for this line. Normally, CoverGirl is really good about having a fair shade range, but considering that there are 14 shades in total and only 4 are darker shades, CoverGirl could have done better to make this foundation more tan/dark girl-friendly.

Scent: This foundation has a very slight perfume scent that is mixed with that traditional clay smell that most foundations have. The scent for this foundation is unique in my opinion.

Packaging: I love the top on this foundation. The packaging and the top on this foundation makes it look more expensive and they both feel sturdy. The packaging also has a pump so that the foundation will last longer since you won’t be able to contaminate it directly inside and you can control how much product comes out of it.

How The CoverGirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Liquid Foundation Looks On The Skin

My Skin Type: I had normal skin since I was a child, but recently it has become oily.

Wear Test: I wore this foundation for almost 7 and a half hours and it stayed on all day long.

Finish: This foundation looks natural, it blends beautifully into the skin, it really makes the skin look smoother, and it gives an airbrushed finish. This foundation also absorbs quickly into the skin and it feels like there is nothing on your skin when you are wearing it, so it is a great foundation for long-wear and working at the office.

Coverage: This foundation has good coverage; it has medium to almost full coverage. You can also layer this foundation for greater coverage.

Dark Circles: This foundation greatly lessened the appearance of darkness underneath my eyes.

Oiliness: This foundation did get oily towards the end of the day, so you should set it with powder to reduce the oiliness and extend how long the foundation will stay put throughout the day.

Fine Lines/Under Eye Area: I can still see the lines underneath my eyes while wearing this foundation, but this foundation did make them less noticeable. This foundation also did not settle into my smile lines.

Does The CoverGirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Liquid Foundation Do What It Promises?

Yes, I definitely do feel that this foundation did almost everything that it promised: This foundation applied easily and smoothly, it definitely gave my skin a very healthy luminous glow, my skin felt more hydrated while wearing this foundation, this foundation has beautiful coverage, and my skin looked airbrushed, flawless, and smooth.

One drawback to this foundation is that it did get oily through the day, so it does not minimize oiliness or shine. In fact, since this is a hydrating foundation, I do not recommend it for people with oily skin.

Final Thoughts: All in all, I am very impressed with this foundation. I love the glow it adds to the skin and how it looks, so it has made its way to my list of favorite foundations. This is the foundation I reach for the most in the winter time, so I do highly recommend this foundation.
